Product Details

Reactive Black WNN is a medium-temperature reactive dye developed for deep shades and high fastness on cellulose fibers. It is typically formulated using multi-component blending technology that combines highly reactive monochlorotriazine groups with more stable ethylene sulfone–based reactive groups. This hybrid design delivers a balanced black system characterized by high fixation efficiency, strong jet-black appearance, and reliable overall fastness.

In practical dyeing, Reactive Black WNN provides excellent depth and shade consistency. The resulting color ranges from neutral black to slightly bluish black, with strong covering power and good build-up. It effectively suppresses the natural yellow tone of cellulosic fibers, producing a clean, intense black. Thanks to its optimized molecular design, the proportion of hydrolyzed dye is relatively low, which improves wash-off efficiency, reduces after-treatment requirements, and supports cleaner and more economical processing. Standard performance tests show soap wash and perspiration fastness at 4–5 grades, dry rubbing fastness at 4–5 grades, wet rubbing fastness at 3–4 grades, and good lightfastness, meeting the demanding requirements of premium denim, workwear, and home textile applications.

The dye is suitable for a wide range of cellulose dyeing methods, including exhaust dyeing, pad dyeing, cold pad–batch dyeing, and continuous pad processes. Its good solubility and stable dye bath behavior ensure uniform penetration and high fixation in cold pad–batch systems, while its reactivity and shade stability support consistent results in continuous production. In addition, Reactive Black WNN can be easily combined with other reactive dyes, such as reds or blues, to fine-tune black undertones, allowing flexible shade adjustment to match different market preferences.

FAQ

Q: What are the distinctive features or advantages of this series of dyes?

A: The classic series of reactive dyes (also known as reactive colorants) typically refers to their classification based on the structure of their "reactive groups." Their core value lies in achieving excellent wet fastness and vivid color through covalent bonding, making them the primary choice for modern cellulose fiber dyeing.

Q: In which industries are these dyes primarily used?

A: Reactive dyes are primarily used in applications demanding high wet fastness and vivid color intensity. Their scope of application is mainly concentrated in the textile industry, though they also find use in a few specialized fields such as leather dyeing, paper coloring, and biological staining.

Q: What process is recommended for the application of this series of dyes in textiles?

A: In the textile industry, the recommended process for reactive dyes is entirely determined by fabric type (knitted/woven), production batch size (continuous/batch), and final quality requirements. Core process routes fall into two main categories: batch dyeing and continuous pad-dry-pad dyeing. For high-volume woven fabrics, continuous pad-dry-pad dyeing or cold pad-dry-pad systems are prioritized. For knitted fabrics, yarns, or small-batch orders, batch dyeing is employed.

Q: What safety measures should be taken when handling dyes?

A: When handling dyes, systematic safety, environmental protection, and occupational health measures must be implemented. Specific precautions vary depending on the type of dye. For powdered dyes such as disperse, reactive, and direct dyes, prevent dust inhalation and dust explosion hazards by using explosion-proof electrical equipment. For liquid dyes, prioritize preventing leaks and organic solvent vapors by ensuring containers are tightly sealed. For solvent dyes, focus on their flammability and the toxicity of organic solvents; ideally, store them in explosion-proof cabinets away from ignition sources.
