1,2-Hexanediol, with the chemical formula C6H14O2 and CAS number 6920-22-5, is an organic alcohol compound. It is a colorless, transparent liquid with a density of 0.951 g/mL (25℃), a boiling point of 224℃, and a flash point of 122℃. It is miscible with water, ethanol, and many organic solvents. Its refractive index at room temperature is 1.4431, and its relative molecular mass is 118.17. It has a mild, sweet aroma.
