Disperse Blue WECT

Disperse Blue WECT is an environmentally compliant blue disperse dye developed for high-end coloration and printing of polyester and polyester-blend textiles. Benefiting from an optimized molecular design and eco-oriented manufacturing processes, it delivers stable colorfastness while meeting strict ecological and safety requirements. The product is supplied as a uniform deep-blue powder and produces a bright, blue-leaning shade on polyester with strong color build-up, high exhaustion, and excellent batch reproducibility.

From a processing perspective, the dye performs best in high-temperature, high-pressure dyeing at 125–135 °C under mildly acidic conditions (pH 4.5–5.5). It is also applicable to hot-melt dyeing, with recommended fixation at 200–210 °C for 30–45 seconds. In pale shades, leveling may be slightly less uniform, so the use of suitable leveling auxiliaries is recommended. Carrier dyeing is feasible but requires careful control of carrier selection and dosage. Although the dye shows good tolerance to typical water hardness and metal ions, the use of softened water is advised to ensure shade consistency.

In terms of fastness, Disperse Blue WECT offers a well-balanced profile suitable for durable textile applications: wash fastness 4–5, light fastness 6–7, sublimation fastness 4–5, dry rubbing fastness 4–5, and wet rubbing fastness 3–4. Fiber applicability is mainly focused on polyester. On acetate fibers, the shade appears slightly greener; on nylon, dyeing is possible but soap wash fastness is relatively limited (around grade 3–4). It is not recommended for acrylic or cotton fibers. For printing, the dye is suitable for direct printing on polyester and can be used as a medium-to-dark ground color in anti-discharge printing on polyester/cotton blends. Attention should be paid to avoid co-printing with alkali-containing reactive dyes to prevent shade deviation or fastness loss. Proper post-print steaming (175–180 °C for 8–10 minutes) followed by thorough washing is essential to achieve optimal results.

Adventures: The core feature of the high-wash economical WECT series is achieving significant cost optimization while maintaining essential wash fastness. Its key advantage lies in high cost-effectiveness: through carefully selected dye components and blending technology, it delivers superior wash and rub fastness compared to conventional series at a cost close to standard offerings. This makes it particularly suitable for high-volume production of regular polyester fabrics with specific fastness requirements but cost sensitivity (e.g., workwear, school uniforms, basic home textiles).
Applicable industries: The high-wash-fastness, cost-effective WECT series is primarily designed for large-scale standardized textile production where wash fastness is a critical requirement and cost control is stringent. Simply put, this series offers a solution for bulk textile orders in the mainstream market that demand "adequate performance and wash durability" while prioritizing procurement cost efficiency.
Recommend process: For the high-wash-fastness, economical WECT series, the recommended process is identical to that for conventional disperse dye series, requiring no special procedures. Process selection should be determined based on fabric type and production efficiency.
