Product Details
Disperse Black WECT, also known in the industry as Disperse Black ECT, is a high-efficiency single-component black disperse dye widely adopted for polyester coloration. Developed as a standardized alternative to conventional trichromatic black systems, it plays a key role in simplifying polyester dyeing processes. The product is supplied as a fine, homogeneous powder with a color range from deep brown to black. When contacted with concentrated sulfuric acid, it produces a dark green coloration that changes to blue-black upon dilution, a characteristic reaction that can be used for routine qualitative identification.
In practical dyeing applications, Disperse Black WECT delivers strong build-up and a deep, neutral jet-black shade. It performs reliably under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions, offering good leveling behavior and excellent coverage. Compared with multi-step blended black dyeing, it significantly reduces the risk of shade unevenness and layered coloration. The dye is primarily intended for polyester and polyester-blend fabrics, where it produces stable and reproducible black shades. It also shows acceptable dyeing results on nylon and acetate fibers, while its affinity for acrylic fibers is comparatively limited.
For printing applications, the dye is suitable for direct printing and transfer printing on polyester substrates. Owing to its multi-component formulation, however, it is not recommended for use as a ground color in print-resist or fastness-critical protective printing systems. As a monochromatic black dye, Disperse Black WECT is formulated through the controlled blending of selected disperse dye components, including orange and blue chromophores, ensuring excellent batch-to-batch shade consistency (ΔE ≤ 1.0). It demonstrates broad process compatibility and can be applied in both high-temperature/high-pressure dyeing and hot-melt padding operations.
Strict production control is applied to guarantee consistent particle size distribution and high dispersion stability, even under demanding processing conditions. In addition, process recommendations are available for different fabric compositions and application routes, making Disperse Black WECT a practical and reliable solution for achieving high-quality black shades while improving operational efficiency in polyester dyeing.

Disperse High-wash Economic WECT Series
The defining characteristic of the high-wash economical WECT series is its ability to balance cost reduction with reliable washing performance. By optimizing dye selection and formulation through advanced compounding techniques, this series achieves noticeably improved wash and rubbing fastness compared with conventional economical grades, while keeping overall costs close to standard disperse dye products.
As a result, the WECT series offers an excellent price–performance ratio and is especially well suited for large-scale production of everyday polyester textiles where basic fastness standards must be met under strict cost control. Typical application areas include workwear, school uniforms, and entry-level home textile products that require dependable durability without the expense of premium-grade dyes.
FAQ
Q: What process is recommended for the application of this series of dyes in textiles?
A: For the high-wash-fastness, economical WECT series, the recommended process is identical to that for conventional disperse dye series, requiring no special procedures. Process selection should be determined based on fabric type and production efficiency.
Q: What are your advantages in transportation and logistics?
A: To support high-volume orders, we offer full container load (FCL) shipments using ton bags or customized container sizes to reduce per-unit logistics costs. For deliveries to tropical or high-humidity destinations, reinforced desiccants can be installed in containers, along with optional moisture-resistant packaging services. Beyond standard port-to-port shipping, we also work with global logistics partners to arrange door-to-door multimodal transportation with end-to-end shipment tracking.
Q: Do you offer preferential services to long-term customers?
A: For long-term partners and high-volume customers, we offer customized packaging options and preferential freight rates. Through established cooperation with major carriers, we provide reliable and cost-effective ocean shipping from key ports such as Shanghai and Ningbo, including full export customs documentation support. For time-sensitive orders, air freight is also available. For customers under annual supply agreements, flexible solutions such as consignment stock or bonded warehouse prepositioning can be considered to shorten lead times.
