Solvent Yellow 163

Solvent Yellow 163 is a high-performance industrial-grade oil-soluble dye, appearing as a uniform reddish-yellow powder with high purity (active ingredient ≥ 99%). It exhibits excellent solubility in organic solvents, rapidly dissolving in common polar and non-polar solvents such as toluene, xylene, acetone, DMF, and chloroform to form transparent, vivid true solutions free of suspended particles, with strong tinting strength. Its maximum absorption wavelength (λmax) is approximately 450–460 nm, delivering a bright and rich reddish-yellow hue in plastic and resin matrices with high transparency, making it particularly suitable for engineering plastic products that require stringent color purity and light transmittance. In terms of performance, the most prominent advantage of Solvent Yellow 163 lies in its exceptional light fastness. In engineering plastics such as PC, PMMA, and ABS, it achieves a light fastness rating of 7–8 (ISO 105-B02), effectively resisting fading and color shifts caused by prolonged UV exposure. Additionally, the dye offers good heat resistance (thermal decomposition temperature > 300°C), migration resistance, and solvent bleeding resistance, ensuring color stability under high-temperature processing and demanding usage conditions.
