Dipropylene glycol (DPG), also known as dipropylene glycol condensate, is an odorless, colorless, sweet-tasting, water-soluble, and hygroscopic liquid at room temperature. It is soluble in water and toluene, miscible with methanol and ether, has a pungent sweet taste, and is non-corrosive. It has very low skin irritation and low toxicity. It is flammable when exposed to open flames or high heat. It can form explosive mixtures with air. It is suitable for applications involving fragrances, perfumes, and cosmetics where odor is a sensitive factor.

 

 

The dipropylene glycol content reaches over 99.5%, with few impurities, and exhibits excellent co-solubility with water, oil, and hydrocarbons. This product also possesses superior catalytic properties, moisture retention, and long-term resistance to yellowing.

 

 

Industrial-grade dipropylene glycol is primarily used in resin production, coatings and inks, industrial chemicals, and specialized fields as a reactive diluent, high-boiling-point solvent, and multifunctional additive.

1. Unsaturated polyester resin production: As a reactive diluent, it replaces styrene, reducing resin viscosity, improving processability, and simultaneously participating in the curing reaction to reduce VOC emissions, while enhancing resin flexibility, crack resistance, and weather resistance.

2. Coatings and inks industry: Used as a high-boiling-point solvent to regulate drying rates, improve coating leveling, prevent defects such as orange peel and pinholes, and as a universal solvent to dissolve resins, dyes, and other components.

3. Industrial chemicals: Serves as a plasticizer (in plastics and coatings), a component of synthetic detergents, and a fumigant, utilizing its solubility and moisturizing properties to enhance product performance.

4. Special industrial applications: Including cleaning agents in the electronics industry, aviation/industrial de-icing fluids, antifreeze agents, and polyurethane foam (such as mattress foam) manufacturing, providing antifreeze, lubrication, and cleaning effects. 

 

 

1. Packaging in galvanized iron drums or plastic drums, available in 200 kg and 215 kg sizes.

2. ISO tanks or other packaging options are available upon request.

 

 

1. Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 37℃, and the relative humidity should be controlled below 60%.

2. Keep containers sealed. Store separately from oxidizers, acids, halogens, etc., and never mix with other substances.
